Ad inizio campionato, nonostante le prestazioni non fossero mai state convincenti al 100%, non ci saremmo mai immaginati che il Palermo si ritrovasse in estrema difficoltà, addirittura ottavo in classifica, successivamente alla sua quinta sconfitta in campionato con un rendimento casalingo da retrocessione, ottavi, e sembra pure un lusso per ciò che si è visto ultimamente.

Una disfatta avvenuta, quest’ultimo match, contro i fenomeni del Catanzaro.

Un risultato che mette la posizione di Eugenio Corini più in bilico che mai (già miracolato); il “genio” del nuovo Palermo ora è il primo dei responsabili di questo disagio sportivo, il primo ma di certo non il solo.
Una società “assente” in una circostanza straordinaria fa storcere il naso a tutti i supporters del Palermo, locali, fuori sede e per finire sui social.
I tanto “amati” social, da Mister Corini, che nel post partita contro il Catanzaro hanno deciso in comune accordo di dire la loro pubblicando un post chiaro che esprime una presa di posizione ed un rapporto, anche con la società, che inizia a scricchiolare a causa della gestione del caso Corini, dove anche noi di Tifosi Palermo Uk ed i nostri amici di Old Style Supporters Rosanero abbiamo deciso di partecipare.

Il modo di operare del CFG, nell’ambito della comunicazione, non si era mai visto, specialmente a Palermo e forse in tutta Italia; di certo non si può dire lo stesso del Regno Unito, dove ad esempio squadre come Chelsea che, con oltre 400 milioni di sterline spesi sul mercato, vanta risultati più che scadenti ed un gioco che ha tutto tranne che il fascino di una top della Premier League piazzandosi, ad oggi, al decimo posto e, udite udite, l’unico che “parla” in sala stampa è l’allenatore Pochettino, stessa cosa con il Manchester United; in quest’ultimo caso mai spiegati i flop dalla dirigenza di questi anni, non per ultimi anche gli acquisti di mercato Maguire e Onana.

Forse sarebbe stato anche affascinante l’allenatore/manager British style ,solo se lo stesso fosse stato più empatico e magari un buon comunicatore….

Secondo alcune testate giornalistiche pare che la sfida contro la capolista Parma sarà l’ultima chance per il Mister; sulla scrivania è spuntato il nome di Fabio Grosso (anche se sono arrivate già delle smentite), fresco di esonero dal Lione e pronto a prendere in mano la squadra.
Con tutta probabilità saranno decisivi i match con Parma e Pisa, ma dare un opinione in questa surreale situazione e quasi impossibile.

Everything is creaking!

Not even in our wildest nightmares could we have imagined that Palermo would find themselves in extreme difficulty by the end of the year, despite the team’s unconvincing performances.

Indeed we are currently looking down from the eighth position in the table, after a fifth defeat at home, during which we offered a relegation-threatening performance. To add insult to injury, this eighth place almost feels lucky, considering the football (or lack thereof) we have witnessed lately.

After miraculously surviving previous defeats, the negative result of the last game against serie B phenomenon Catanzaro is seriously threatening Eugenio Corini’s job.

The new Palermo’s “genius” is now directly been pointed as being the number one culprit of the team’s infirmity. The first but certainly not the only one. The management’s obstined silence under such extraordinary circumstances is demoralizing Palermo fans in Italy and abroad, whilst protests under several forms are seeing the light on social media.

Indeed, after the game against Catanzaro, Mister Corini’s much loved social network groups have joined forces and published with one voice, the same day at the same time a clear message: the relationship club/supporters is starting to tumble down due to the mismanagement of the Corini case. CGF public relations’ approach to communication has never seen in Palermo before – and perhaps in all of Italy. However, it is the norm in the United Kingdom.

Let’s take the example of a team like Chelsea, who after spending over 400 million of pounds on the transfer market, is boasting extremely poor results and performances, way below par with the enthralling football usually played by clubs at the top of the Premier league.

I think that the innovative, British style management could have been appealing if greater empathy and better communication were implemented.

According to the press, the game against league leaders Parma could be Corini’s very last chance.

Several names, including that of Fabio Grosso, have already appeared on the table (it’s been reported that some of these names have refused the job). Grosso, who has just been sacked by Lyon, could be ready to take over the dressing room.

The matches against Parma and Pisa are decisive for the club’s future. As for us, it feels almost impossible to give an opinion in this surreal context.
